As any gamer can tell you, Valve is the best thing ever happened in the industry. A company that brought us some of the best games and created the number one resource in the guise of Steam. Said this, after Left 4 Dead 2 launched in 2009 and the great success received over the title, it seemed natural a new chapter in the series. Until now there were several DLC updates, the most recent of which was “Cold Stream” in August. In an interview, Valve’s Chet Faliszek was asked if a third instalment in the franchise could be expected.
“A 3? You know, some time down the road,” he replied. “Like anything, I would say that to all of our games. So that’s not a promise of when or where.
“I really love working on that series. It’s one of my favourite series. It’s just so much fun with the characters and the world. I love zombies and I love horror. So, yeah.”
Considering the great number of copies the first two games sold, we’re talking in the order of 12 million copies, a sequel should be almost certain thing. What is certain is that Valve is the best company in the gaming industry when it comes to care for their consumers, the gamers. Their still working on supporting the great community around the Left 4 Dead series with further updates and DLCs. This is so much more you could ask for these days.
