Telltale Games’ CEO and co-founder Dan Connors talks about possibilities for season 2 of the Walking Dead game and a way to implement a save import feature for the next season of the game.
“Right now we are just starting to form the concept for season two. This all remains to be seen but we are definitely figuring out how to carry the saves over”.
Maybe we will be able to encounter again surviving characters in Season 2, or maybe take the role of a secondary character already encountered (and that has not died), or still learn the story of those characters whose fate was ambiguous at the end of episode 5.
After the immense success of The Walking Dead, Dan Connors has his own ideas about what’s next for the company and the direction of their creative efforts.
“Coming from LucasArts we always felt we could do a great Star Wars story game. We also love the idea of building out a deeper story to a great game franchise, something like Half Life Stories or Halo Stories”.
I think that the great success of the series is due not only to the episodic format of choice but to the intelligence behind its development, too. So I am really looking forward to see a great storytelling and character development as deep as in the Walking Dead game but in an universe so open to evolving narration such as the one of Half-Life and Halo. Maybe something in the Dragon Age universe could work, too. The setting will be something interesting to see developed in a point-and-click format.
